It may be the end of 2016, and it definitely has been wayyyy too long since I blogged. That's something I definitely plan on changing for 2017. I miss this space. I miss communicating this way, and I finally have things I want to share.
2016 was a really weird year - and it sounds like it was for a lot of people. One of the things I knew I needed this year was to GET OUT of the apartment. Working at home is great (more on this in another post) but it can get really lonely.
That's why when my friend Jackie of Sincerely, Jackie reached out about becoming the Suffolk County, Long Island leader of Tuesday's Together (the local chapter of The Rising Tide Society) I was thrilled! In June I started hosting our once a month meetings and from the beginning I started making wonderful friends. Having other creative business gal pals helped me get through my major burnout and isolation.
Earlier this week we combined the Nassau + Suffolk groups for a holiday party at Jackie's new studio. Our talented Tessie photographed the event and we celebrated with an ornament gift exchange.
It was such a great time getting to know each other and celebrating the holidays. If you're a local creative business owner and want to connect with a bunch of really cool chicks (and a few dudes are in our group too!) feel free to reach out and I'll happily connect you!
