When I moved back to Long Island I was hoping that I would be able to continue hosting modern calligraphy workshops. I'm so glad I decided to put myself out there and ask my local West Elm store if they would like to partner with me. I was thrilled to hear that they were interested and when I met them in person I knew this would be a great fit!
On Sunday, March 29th I taught my third calligraphy workshop at the West Elm Walt Whitman store on Long Island. I had the pleasure of teaching another ten aspiring calligraphers. We enjoyed coffee from Roast, and the most delicious strawberry champagne cupcakes from Sugar Lane Cake Shop. P.S. Sugar Lane Cake Shop is having a Sugar Rose Workshop at the West Elm Walt Whitman store - registration & details.
As you can tell from my face I love teaching. It is quite possibly one of my favorite things to do. Although this post is a recap of this wonderful workshop I hope you leave with this: don't be afraid to put yourself out there!
