Exploring Summer

As most of you know, Ian and I moved to Long Island in June. I jumped straight into the busiest business months to date. Even though my schedule was completely booked I tried to carve out some precious time to explore, unplug, and soak in summer. There were late nights, and early morning workdays but scattered throughout were moments where I have truly relaxed. Here's some of my favorite snapshots from those days.

Have you noticed a theme? Everything relates to the water. I talked about this before my blogging vacation. I came across a quote that really hit home for me.

"Every time stand before a beautiful beach, its waves seem to whisper to me: If you choose the simple things and find joy in nature's simple treasures, life and living need not be so hard." - Psyche Roxas-Mendoza

I think as a creative person it is important to find those places in nature where you feel inspired but can also relax. Do you have a place that you go to unwind?
